Me and Tove and a lot of books
나와 토베와 너무 많은 책들
사놓고 읽지 않은 책들이 서서히 집 안을 점령해 가고 있다는 사실을 깨달았습니다. 그 고민에서 시작된 이야기는 나와 토베로부터 파란 고양이와 숲속 요정, 책을 읽는 새들을 상상하게 했습니다. 그림 한 장이 문장을 불러내고, 문장은 다시 다른 상상을 이끌어 하나의 이야기로 자라났습니다.
올해 안에 ‘너무 많은 책들’을 다 읽을 수 있을까요…? 오늘도 나와 토베는 열심히 책을 읽습니다.
2025년 《책과 강아지 그리고 그림》 기획 전시와 연계해 만든 작은 책으로, 《Me and Tove and a lot of books》의 13점 시리즈 그림이 모두 수록되어 있습니다.

I realized that the books I bought but never read were slowly taking over my home.
From that small worry, a story began—starting with Tove and me, and growing into blue cats, forest fairies, and birds reading books. One drawing called for a sentence, and one sentence led to another image, slowly becoming a story.
Will I be able to read all these “too many books” within this year…?
Today again, Tove and I are doing our best to read.
This small book was created for the exhibition “Books, Dogs, and Drawings.”
It includes all 13 illustrations from Me and Tove and a lot of books.

그림을 그리며 작은 서점을 운영하고 있다. 자연의 이야기에 관심이 많고, 그것을 종이 위에 그리는 것을 좋아한다. 쓴 책으로 『The Cat Afraid of Dark Clouds』, 『은지의 하루만화』, 화집 『Rhythm and Drawing』이 있고, 그린 책으로 『토토와 구름과 빵』, 『우리 여우 꿈을 꾼 거니?』가 있다.
