리틀룸은 2020년에 시작된 일러스트 브랜드입니다.
일러스트레이터 류은지의 그림으로 다양한 상품을 만듭니다.
‘리틀룸(작은 방)’이라는 이름은 그야말로 ‘방’을 의미하기도 하지만, 우리 각자가 고유하게 점유하는 마음의 자리를 뜻하기도 합니다. 우리는 언제나 그 안에서부터 출발한다고 믿기에, 개인이 머무는 공간과 그 주변의 환경을 잘 가꾸고 돌보아야한다고 생각해요.
제게 마음의 자리라고 한다면, 시골 집 2층에 자리한 작업 방이 바로 그런 곳입니다. 저는 이곳에서 그림에 대해 고민하며 작은 가지들을 힘차게 뻗어 나가고 있어요. 그 곁에는 언제나 나무와 바람, 햇볕 그리고 강아지와 고양이가 함께 하고 있습니다. 재잘거리는 그들의 소리에 가만히 귀를 기울이면 다채로운 이야기들을 들을 수 있습니다. 그러면 어느새 마음이 밝아지고 그것이 색채가 되어 종이 위에 그려집니다.
그렇게 작은 방에서 시작된 이야기가 그림이 되고 누군가의 작은 방으로 이어지는 상상을 합니다. 자연이 전해주는 따뜻한 온기처럼, 누군가의 마음의 자리를 잠시나마 채워줄 수 있다면 좋겠습니다. 우리 각자의 리틀룸에서 일상을 멋지게 가꾸어 나갈 수 있기를 바래어 봅니다.
little room is an illustration brand established in 2020. We create a variety of products featuring the artwork of illustrator Ryu Eunji.
The name ‘little room’ refers to a physical room, but it also signifies a space of one’s own within our hearts—the unique place each of us occupies. We believe that every journey begins from within; therefore, it is essential to tend to the spaces we inhabit and the surroundings we linger in.
For me, that inner room is my studio on the second floor of a country house. Here, I contemplate my art, allowing my creative branches to stretch out with quiet vigor. I am always accompanied by the trees, the wind, the sunlight, and my dog and cat. By leaning in to their gentle whispers, I find diverse stories that brighten my spirit, eventually manifesting as colors upon paper.
I imagine the stories born in my little room finding their way into yours. Like the soft warmth of nature, I hope my work can momentarily fill the space in your heart. May we all beautifully cultivate our daily lives, each within our own little room.
